As much as we crave and need it, the sun is damaging and skin cancer is deadly serious. Which is where Bedhead comes in! We want to ensure the children of today get to enjoy those outdoor childhood memories when they're older. And it all starts with sun safety. We’re big believers in starting sun safety as early as possible – at birth! So much so, we happily GIVE babies their first hat so they grow up with the skills to become #sunsafeforlife. This year, Bedhead will have given away 18,835 newborn hats to Aussie babies via our website initiatives, in BaoBags in selected hospitals, pharmacies and pre-natal caregivers, at our expos, and through charities we support – that’s over $545,000 worth of hats! In our FIFTH annual #sunsafeforlife we’re preparing families all over Australia for this wonderful yet dangerous time of year with tips, tricks, giveaways and recommendations.

Our plan is to start as many newborn babies on their hat-styling journey as possible and we hope you’ll help us spread our hats far and wide by gifting this pack (if you don’t need it yourself!) to a new mum friend, expecting family member or perhaps you could make someone’s day by handing it to a pregnant stranger at the shops! Partnering with charities

With Australia having one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world, Bedhead Hats is committed to helping parents instill good sun-safety habits in children at a young age. Through our annual Protect The Potential initiative, we give away hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of newborn baby hats to Australian babies via charities, hospitals, ante-natal clinics, events and our own bi-annual monthly initiatives. This month alone, BaoBag will distribute 8600 newborn hats to new families through maternity wards and pharmacies.
