Looking for a simple school holiday activity that's fun, creative, and doesn't require a trip to the craft store? Our adorable Teddy Paper Squishy is the perfect rainy-day project for little makers!

Kids will love colouring in their very own teddy before turning it into a soft, squishy keepsake that's just as fun to squeeze as it is to make.

Here’s how to make your own:

How to Make Your Paper Squishy

1. Print & Colour

Download and print the Teddy Paper Squishy template. Then it's time for the fun part... colour in your teddy however you like! Keep it classic brown, make it rainbow, or add your own creative details.

.

2. Cover with Clear Tape

Once you've finished colouring, cover each of the template pieces completely with clear packing tape. This gives your squishy a shiny finish and helps make it more durable for lots of squeezing.

3. Cut Everything Out

Carefully cut out each of the template pieces, including Teddy face, back, side strip & ears. Little hands may need a grown-up to help with this step.

4. Build the Squishy

Tape the strip around the teddy's face at a 90-degree angle to create a bowl shape. Attach the back piece the same way, leaving a small opening for the stuffing.

Tip: Make small cuts every 1–2 cm along the taped edge to help it curve smoothly.

5. Stuff Your Teddy

Tear the cotton balls into smaller fluffy pieces and gently fill your teddy through the opening. Add as much or as little as you'd like until your squishy feels nice and soft.

Once you're happy with the filling, tape the opening closed.

6. Add the Ears

Tape the ears onto the back of your teddy, lining them up so they peek over the top of the face.

And that's it! Your Teddy Paper Squishy is ready for endless squeezes!
