MAKE: flower crown

Make a simple flower crown

8 April 20210 Comments

For the flower lovers in your life, try this simple flower crown with fresh flowers from your own garden (or cheat and grab some from the supermarket!)

It's just for fancy dress either - aside from wearing it, you could hang it on a pegrail or door handle or pop it on the table as a centrepiece with a giant candle in the middle for a fancy dinner!

You'll need

2-3 long bendy fresh branch (like an olive, wattle, willow or peppercorn)
Fresh flowers with longish stems
A bit of greenery
String
Cutters

How to

1. Wrap the branch around a head to get the idea of size. If the branch isn't long enough to wrap around itself into a wreath shape, tie a couple branches together with some string. Leaves can stay or go - whatever you wish!

2. Wrap around itself into a wreath and secure with string if needed.

3. Add some greenery and flowers, winding the stems around the wreath and sliding into the gaps created (or use string to secure).

This craft was inspired by our beautiful Heather print! Heather is available in Bonnet, Flap Hat, Panelled Bucket and Ladies Sun Hat. Shop all our new Autumn/Winter styles here.
