MAKE: easy Easter table setting

Easy bunny table setting for Easter

26 March 20240 Comments

Dress up your formal – or informal – holiday lunch with this easy-to-execute table setting idea! A cloth or paper napkin can transform a hunting egg into a bunny with a few simple moves!

You'll need:

Our placemat printable
Eggs - boiled or choc, or as we did, choc eggs in a golden egg (from Kmart)
Napkins
Twine
Paper or fresh flowers to decorate
A plate!

How to:

1. Print the paper placemat onto A4 in landscape.
2. Unfold the napkin and then fold it into a triangle. Then keep folding it about 2-centimetres width until it's a big long strip.
3. Place the base of the Easter egg into the centre of the strip and wrap around and pinch at the top to create two bunny ears. Secure with twine.
4. Decorate with flowers.
5. Lay out the placemat with some watercolours, textas or pencils nearby. Place the plate in the centre and the bunny place setting in the centre of that.
6. A kraft paper roll laid out in the centre of the table as a runner will allow more creative time with little ones. We love the egg chalk from Kmart!

Check out how we did it here!
