DIY: easy Easter egg hat wrap

For those who like to leave things to the last moment...

If it hasn't happened already, the Easter Hat Parade is upon you. And if you, like a lot of us here, are more of the last-minute parent for these kinds of things, you'll love this DIY activity. Print out, get the kids to colour in, cut out and tape together and voila! Pop around their head solo or sit it atop the brim of your favourite Bedhead hat! DONE!

Simply download the egg wrap here - two sheets will give you plenty of eggs to work with. Then use watercolour paints, textas, pencils, crayons, add some glitter, feathers, stickers, gold leaf - whatever you have making a mess in your craft box, let them make a mess of it on their Easter hat! Get them to decorate however their little heart desires (we suggest doing so outside. Or on a dining table with a giant old sheet that you can happily through away along with the remnants of their masterpiece) then cut around the top and bottom of the eggs so they come out in one big chain of eggs.

Turn them over and line them up, then run a strip of sticky tape right down the middle of the wrap to hold the eggs together. Wrap around your child's head and staple the eggs together in place. Cut off the excess. Can be worn alone or over the top of your favourite Bedhead hat!
